The Vesak pandal erected at Bogaha Junction in Pettah has collapsed due to strong winds today.
In the years since the Easter attack in 2019, people have not been able to celebrate Vesak as usual with Vesak pandals and decorations.
Vesak pandals have been erected in several places in Colombo despite the current economic crisis.
Pandal erected by the Pettah Traders Association for the 25th time at Bogaha Junction displaying ‘Nama Siddhi Jathakaya’ has been damaged by the winds today.
