The Ceylon Electricity Board Engineers’ Association states that the rumors circulating mentioning their unions are engaging in trade union action by disconnecting electricity are completely false.
Its chairman Anil Ranjith stated that he would not continue to oppress the affected people.
He has stated that there will be a power outage if he resigns and he will not do so at the moment.
The President of the Ceylon Electricity Board Engineers’ Association Anil Ranjith further stated that he understands the importance of providing uninterrupted electricity at a time when the country and the people are suffering.
