The issuance of additional fuel to ministers and government officials who own official government vehicles has been suspended with immediate effect.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Public Services, Provincial Councils, and Local Governments has issued a new circular to save fuel and electricity in public institutions. From today onwards only their monthly fuel cap will be received.
The relevant circular also mentions that air conditioners in government institutions should be switched off by 2.30 pm.
