A special discussion of the political parties affiliated to the government will be held at the residence of Minister Wimal Weerawansa on Tuesday (15), said the Acting Chairman of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka, Matara District Parliamentarian Weerasumana Weerasinghe.
He said that a proposal would be prepared including the views of the government’s allies on how to avoid the dollar crisis, the electricity, and fuel crisis, and the rising cost of living.
He also stated that the proposal will be handed over to the government within the next two weeks.
Weerasumana Weerasinghe has stated that the discussion will include the proposals of his party as well as the Jathika Nidahas Peramuna, Pivithuru Hela Urumaya, Democratic Left Front, Lanka Sama Samaja Party, Sri Lanka Mahajana Party and other government parties.
