SriLankan Airlines opened the Serenediva lounge at the airport with a new look

SriLankan Airlines’ Serenediva Lounge recently reopened at the Bandaranaike International Airport.

The lounge, which has been closed for 11 months for renovations, is equipped with luxury amenities.

This allows passengers to rest comfortably while waiting for their next flight. It also has a safe environment that maintains the highest health and safety standards in the face of an existing epidemic.

The interior of the refurbished lounge, which is finished in beautiful black and brown, is decorated in green and with frescoes of historical landmarks in Sri Lanka.

It provides a relaxed atmosphere to help passengers relax. The Serenediva Lounge can accommodate up to fifty customers and they can fully enjoy the service.

SriLankan Catering offers freshly prepared antique food for the lounge buffet system and passengers can also choose from the drinks and bar service. All free internet services and Wi-Fi service are also available in the lounge.

Serenediva Lounge service is also available to members of FlySmiLes Platinum, FlySmiLes Gold, oneworld Emerald and oneworld Sapphire who fly in economy class.

With the easing of travel restrictions, the number of passengers passing through the BIA has steadily increased over the past few months as international travel shows signs of recovery.

Therefore, with the expected tourist arrivals this winter, more demand for rest facilities can be expected.

The project to modernize the lounge was initiated to provide more service to international travelers within the COVID-19 security limits, which have become the ‘new standard’ for foreign travel.

Opened in the winter, the Serenediva Lounge offers relaxed and safe accommodation to SriLankan Airlines and OneWorld customers booked across Colombo.

Ashok Pathirage, (Chairman, SriLankan Airlines), A. Chandrasiri (Major Gen. (Retd.), Chairman, Sri Lanka Airports and Airlines (AASL)), Rajiva Sooriyarachchi (AASL Vice President) and AASL Chief Operating Director Shehan Sumnanasekara cut the ribbon together.
