    WHO congratulates Sri Lanka for Scaling Up Corona Vaccination

    • The World Health Organization (WHO) has congratulated Sri Lanka on administering more than 500,000 doses of corona vaccine on the 29th.

    Accordingly, the Sri Lankan health sector had given more than 500,000 doses of the vaccine to the public on July 29.

    In this regard, the World Health Organization (WHO) has posted a note on its official Twitter account congratulating the Sri Lankan government and saying that it was a significant milestone for Sri Lanka.

    Meanwhile, for the second day in a row, more than 500,000 corona vaccines were administered in Sri Lanka yesterday (30).

    Sri Lanka currently uses Cinoform, Modernna, Sputnik V, Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines.

    The security forces are also directly involved in the vaccination program in the country and a number of special vaccination programs have been implemented with the involvement of the security forces throughout the recent past.

    Sri Lanka, meanwhile, has become the fastest-growing country in the world in terms of corona vaccination in the last seven days, according to data collected globally.
