A massive protest will be held in Colombo tomorrow with the participation of representatives of more than 30 teachers’ unions demanding a solution to the professional problems of teachers and principals.
Leaders of teachers ‘and principals’ unions say the protest is aimed at eliminating pay inequality and demanding that the teaching profession do a closed service.
Representatives of the Teachers ‘and Principals’ Associations will gather in front of the Colombo Fort Railway Station at 10 am tomorrow and then march towards the Vihara Maha Devi Park, where they will hold a protest and engage in a massive agitation.
