Mr. Najith Sumanasena, President of the Association of Health Entomology Officers, says that the density of mosquito larvae has decreased across the country.
He points out that last year the bito index value in many parts of the island rose to 20-25 and now that value has dropped to 10-15.
However, Mr. Najith Sumanasena said that due to the immediate changes in the weather, the bito density may increase again.
Therefore, he requests the people to keep the environment around them clean.
