The Cabinet yesterday (28) approved the provision of relief to police officers who have been subjected to political retaliation during the period of Yahapalana governance.
On several occasions, the Cabinet had discussed police officers who had been subjected to political retaliation. According to the reports, the Cabinet which met yesterday has given its approval to provide relief to 82 officials.
Accordingly, a number of police officers are to be promoted.
