All government schools belonging to Hatton Education Zone will be closed tomorrow (05).
The Regional Education Director has announced this.
This decision has been taken considering the risk that has arisen due to the current heavy rain situation in Hatton region.
Meteorologists have warned the people in those areas to be careful as strong winds of 50-60 kilometers per hour are blowing from time to time in the western slopes of the Central Hills and in the North, North-West and North Central Provinces and Hambantota and Trincomalee districts due to the activation of South West Monsoon.
The Department of Meteorology says that this situation may affect till tomorrow (05) afternoon.
