The inauguration ceremony of the new political party called ‘Eksath Janaraja Peramuna’ under the leadership of the leader of the 43rd Brigade, Member of Parliament Mr. Patali Champika Ranawaka, will be held on the Republic Day which is on 22nd May at the National Youth Service Council, Maharagama.
That day is when Sri Lanka gained complete independence from the British colony.
The new party will be started under the theme ‘Ratata Obina Dishanathiya’ and its symbol will be ‘the pencil’.
According to political sources, the proposals related to the recovery of the country from the economic, social and political crisis will be presented here.
