Sports Minister Mr. Roshan Ranasinghe has asked the vice president of the International Cricket Council to respect the law of our country just as we respect the International Cricket Council.
This was stated by the Minister during a special discussion held yesterday (11) with the Vice President of the International Cricket Council, Mr. Imran Khawaja, who recently visited Sri Lanka.
The Minister has also explained to Mr. Khawaja that he is responsible for Sri Lanka Cricket as the Minister in charge of the subject to the Parliament and the people and how he is going to work with all parties with a proper plan in the future.
Speaking further during the discussion, the minister has stated that he will give his utmost support to do the right thing with Sri Lanka Cricket and that his plan is to establish a game full of victories and free from corruption and fraud.
For this discussion, International Cricket Council Strategic Senior Manager Ammar Shaikh, Sports Director General A. Muthumala, President’s lawyer Dinal Philip, lawyer Panduka Keerthinanda, former veteran cricketer Sidath Wettamuni were present.
