British Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab announced today that he has resigned from all his posts.
The primary reason for Raab’s resignation was because of his confessions regarding the allegations of harassing his six colleagues.
At the time of his resignation, Raab was also serving as Britain’s Minister of Justice and he has resigned from that position as well. The Deputy Prime Minister had announced his resignation in a note on his official Twitter account.
“I asked for an investigation into the harassment of my colleagues and I stated that if there was any harassment, I would resign and I resigned as promised,” Raab said in his letter.
In a letter replying to the resignation letter, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that while he accepted Raab’s resignation with great sadness, it was important that ministers uphold the highest standards.
At present, a political crisis situation has been created in Britain, and many officials not being able to hold office in the Prime Minister position, is a perfect example.
