The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has advised the banks and financial institutions to provide more concessions to the entrepreneurs to pay off their loans.
The instructions issued by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka also state that a suitable relief program should be applied to the micro, small and medium scale entrepreneurs who are affected due to the current economic situation in the country for repayment of loans.
Debt restructuring, rescheduling and loan suspension may be done on a case-by-case basis based on the future debt repayment capacity and viability of the business of the clients, the advisory said.
