    PUCSL informs in writing that they reject the increase in electricity charges

    Sri Lanka Public Utilities Commission (PUCSL) Chairman Mr. Janaka Ratnayake has rejected the electricity tariff revision proposed by the Ceylon Electricity Board.

    He has informed this in a letter to the Cabinet Secretary.

    Through his letter, he has also given the reasons for the decision to reject the revision of electricity tariffs according to the Electricity Act, 2009.

    The Chairman’s letter to the Cabinet Secretary and the Cabinet’s proposal to increase electricity tariffs are given below.
