One person was killed and 15 people were hospitalized after lightning struck near a fishing village where a group of fishermen were preparing to pull fish nets.
The accident happened at Udappuwa, Paripaduwa coastline.
The deceased is Thanapati Kajith, a resident of Division 06, Udappuwa.
