50 non-parliamentary parties are called for a discussion

The Election Commission announces that a discussion will be held on the 23rd with the political parties that do not represent the Parliament.

Its chairman Mr. Lawyer Nimal Punchihewa stated that this discussion was called for the purpose of seeking the views of the political parties on the proposals of the Parliamentary Special Committee on the amendment of the Election Laws that have been presented to the Parliament and to discuss a plan to implement those proposals.

Currently, the number of political parties that are not represented in the Parliament is close to 50.
