The All Ceylon Bakeries Association says that due to the high price of eggs in the market, the price of bakery products will have to be increased again in the future.
The president of the association N. K. Jayawardene said that the government should intervene and take necessary steps to reduce the price of eggs.
He further stated that if the government intervenes to reduce the price of eggs, the price of a piece of bread can be reduced by Rs. 50 and the price of a bun by Rs. 25.
