Police Children and Women’s Bureau has started investigations to arrest the OIC of Sevanagala Police in connection with the rape of an apprentice police constable.
This investigation has started on the complaint made by a 21-year-old constable working at the Sevanagala Police Station that the OIC raped her.
Accordingly, when a group of Children and Women’s Bureau officers went to the police station yesterday to conduct investigations, OIC suddenly left the police station applying for leave.
Information from the Children’s and Women’s Bureau states that she has given a clear statement regarding the harassment and rape by the police station chief. Accordingly, the Children and Women’s Bureau information further revealed that the OIC would have to be arrested.
