    Rules for submission of asset-liability statements of politicians will be changed

    The Ministry of Justice has decided to amend the rules for submitting asset and liability statements of all politicians.

    The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Reform, Dr. Wijedasa Rajapaksa stated that a new bill will be brought to deal with the matter in a more transparent manner.

    At the same time, legislation has also been enacted to replace the existing Bribery or Corruption Investigation Commission with a new commission with more powers.

    Justice Minister Dr. Wijedasa Rajapaksa further said that the activities will be done in accordance with the United Nations Anti-Corruption Charter.
