Another 13 persons who attended a birthday party held by Chandimal Jayasinghe at a five star hotel in Colombo today (June 02) have been granted bail, despite travel restrictions or quarantine rules imposed on the country.
The arrested men, 11 men and 2 women were presented before the Colombo Additional Magistrate today.
The Fort Police are conducting investigations into a birthday party organized at the Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo on the night of May 30.
Chandimal Jayasinghe and Piumi Hansamali, who were arrested by the Fort Police on May 31, were presented before the Fort Magistrate and released on bail.
Later, the Fort Police arrested six persons yesterday (June 01) for participating in the party. In addition, seven other persons were arrested this morning.
