Chairman of the Ceylon Transport Board Kingsley Ranawaka says that no decision has been taken yet to increase SLTB bus fares.
It has been decided to increase private bus fares from the 1st of next month.
He added that SLTB depots also supply fuel for buses operating in remote areas.
The SLTB depot also supplies fuel for private buses, but there have been reports of those buses being taken out and used for other purposes and are being investigated, he said.
