The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) states that the motion of the increase in electricity tariffs will be presentee to the cabinet on next Monday.
Its Chairman M. M. C. Ferdinando said that such proposals are being prepared to increase electricity tarrifs in order to decrease the losses CEB is having.
He said the annual income of the CEB was Rs. 276 billion and the cost was up to Rs. 750 billion.
