W. Tilakaratne, DIG in charge of the CID has been transferred to the Ministerial Security Division with immediate effect.
According to the Police Headquarters, DIG Prasad Ranasinghe has been appointed as the new Chief of the CID.
Mr. Prasad Ranasinghe has been serving as the DIG of Nuwara Eliya District up to now and was a former DIG of the CID.
