New Zealand has pledged $ 500,000 in money aid to provide food for children and economically vulnerable farmers in Sri Lanka, who are facing severe economic hardship.
Sri Lanka’s Foreign Minister Nanaya Mahuta has said that the financial assistance will be provided to Sri Lanka through the World Food Program and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
The cooperation between Sri Lanka and New Zealand is over 30 years.
During that period, New Zealand provided US $ 25.07 million in development assistance to Sri Lanka.
