The Sri Lanka Freedom Party states that the decision regarding to extend support for the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will be taken at the Central Committee meeting scheduled to be held today (13).
Meanwhile, 10 independent parties in Parliament state that they will unconditionally support the new Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Weerasumana Weerasinghe, a member of the independent group, said that they would support the Prime Minister’s program on behalf of the country without asking for any privileges.
Political sources also say that the Prime Minister has decided to meet the independent members of parliament separately and hold discussions.
The sources further say that these discussions will be held today.
