Litro has announced that they will not be releasing domestic gas cylinders to the market until the 25th.
The company says that this situation is arisen due to a shortage of gas.
The supply of domestic gas cylinders to the market was stopped by Litro on the 12th of this month due to the depletion of gas stocks.
Two ships of 3600 metric tons each are scheduled to arrive in the island on the 25th and 26th.
Litro said they would then be able to re-issue domestic gas cylinders after that.
However, Litro added that they will continue to release gas for essential services such as factories, hospitals and crematoriums.
