The Central Bank has announced that it will revoke the licenses of money changers who offer higher exchange rates than those offered by licensed banks.
Accordingly, the Central Bank points out that in accordance with the provisions of the Foreign Exchange Act No. 12 of 2017, it is prohibited to exceed the exchange rates of licensed banks.
The Central Bank also requests the public to notify the Foreign Exchange Department via the following numbers or e-mail address whenever a money exchanger offers high exchange rates in a transaction.
