The Director General of the National Transport Commission Commander Nilan Miranda states that the fare revision will be presented to the Cabinet tomorrow (14) and approval will be obtained.
He states that the minimum bus fare will be around 19 or 20 rupees.
He further stated that this decision was taken after considering the demands made by the bus unions with the increase in fuel prices.
Accordingly, bus fares will be increased from midnight tomorrow (14), said the Director General of the National Transport Commission, Commander Nilan Miranda.
