Ranjan Ramanayake who is being held at the Angunakolapelessa Prison has been transferred to the Colombo National Hospital.
He was first admitted to the Karapitiya General Hospital in Galle last evening due to a knee injury and then the doctors instructed him to be admitted to the orthopedic clinic of Colombo National Hospital.
He was admitted to the Orthopedic Clinic of the Colombo National Hospital today on medical advice.
Thereafter, doctors have instructed him to return to the clinic on the 16th.
The Prisons Department has taken steps to detain him at the Welikada Prison Hospital until the 16th.
