President Ranil Wickramasinghe is asking the political parties, including Samagi Jana Balawega and Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna, to join an agreement with the government to protect the country’s economic stability by making the agreement with the International Monetary Fund a success.
Addressing the United National Party May Day rally held today (01) afternoon in front of Maligawatta Police in Colombo, the President asked not to disrupt the program with the International Monetary Fund by working in traditional politics.
Organized under the theme of “A proud country that will never fall again”, this May Day rally was attended by a large number of party members from various parts of the island, including members of organizations affiliated to the United National Party.
It is also special that Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna’s Monaragala District Member of Parliament Dr. Gayashan Navanandana joined the May Day rally supporting the United National Party.
