Department of Registration of Persons will be closed for public service activities from the 16th until further notice.
The action was taken after it was confirmed that several officers working in the office were infected with Covid. It is stated that although the service is not open to the public, the daily internal service is carried out under a limited staff.
The department states that applicants who have booked dates to obtain National Identity Cards will be sent their identity cards by post to their personal addresses.
Department also states that the identity cards will be prepared and sent to those who have applied for the identity cards by post.
