According to information received from the Dayagama Estate in Hatton, the body of the girl who was burnt to death while working as a servant in the house of former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen has been recovered.
Her body, which was also buried at the Hatton Dayagama Public Cemetery, was exhumed today under the supervision of the Nuwara Eliya Magistrate.
A team of experts to conduct the second post mortem has also arrived at the scene and the body is to be taken to the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital for postmortem examination.
