    Minister of State who Disturbed the Parliament Yesterday was Banned for 2 Weeks (📹)

    Minister of State for Water Supply, Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Member of Parliament Mr. Sanath Nishantha has been banned from parliamentary work for two weeks from today.

    At the opening of the parliamentary session today, Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena said that he strongly condemns the act of indiscipline that took place in the parliamentary chamber yesterday (21) and accordingly this decision was taken.

    The speaker said that this step was taken against the member due to his rude behavior when the leader of the opposition presented a question to the House yesterday.

    A heated situation arose in parliament when the opposition leader raised a question about the people responsible for the country’s bankruptcy.
