Podujana Peramuna MP Ranjith Bandara, chairman of the COPE committee, said that he completely denies the allegations made by the opposition that he sexually harassed a female parliamentarian, and that he is ready to resign as a member of parliament if he is found guilty of it.
In Parliament, he continued, requesting the speaker to take action against Hesha Withanage, the member of Parliament who raised the relevant accusation, if he is found guilty.
Mr. Ranjith Bandara requested in the Parliament today that this issue be referred to the Privileges Committee and that it be examined by the Committee.
