    Sri Lanka Already has 7 Medals in the Asian Para Games

    Sri Lankan athletes have managed to win 7 medals in the 4th Asian Para Games held in China these days.

    Accordingly, the latest record is with Sri Lankan para athlete Anil Prasanna Jayalath winning the silver medal in the men’s 100m T63 event.

    He clocked 12.98 seconds to finish second in the event.

    Sri Lanka is currently ranked 18th in the medal table with a total of 7 medals including 2 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze.

    Hosts China lead the medal tally with a total of 450 medals, including 181 golds, followed by Iran and Japan in second and third respectively.

    The 2022 Asian Para Games began on 22 October 2023 in Hangzhou, China after being postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

    The multi-sport tournament will be held till tomorrow (28).
