The second Kumbal Perahera of the Esala Perahera of the Sri Dalada Palace, Kandy, toured the streets last night after the elephant ‘Sinharaja’, stepped on the sandstone in the auspicious time holding the holy casket with sacred tooth relic.
Miyanraja and Kandula tuskers also had duties in the procession.
Peramune Rala with Indiraja and Gajanayake Nilame with Kotteraja decorated the 2nd Kumbal Perahera.
