    Antibody mixture is approved for emergency use for immunocompromised individuals

    The REGN-COV2 antibody blend introduced by Roche, one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies, has been approved by the National Drug Regulatory Authority of Sri Lanka.

    Accordingly, the Drug Regulatory Authority of Sri Lanka has approved the provision of this antibody mixture to patients with low immunity who may be at risk for developing covid disease.

    The National Drug Regulatory Authority of Sri Lanka has approved the use of this antibody mixture for patients suffering from diseases such as cancer, bone marrow transplantation, organ transplantation, heart disease, lung disease and diabetes as well as over 60 years of age.

    This antibody compound has been approved in several other countries before being approved for emergency use in Sri Lanka.

    The World Health Organization (WHO) says the antibody is already used by a number of countries, including the United States, India, Switzerland, Japan and the European Union, as well as Germany, France, Denmark, the Netherlands, Italy, Sweden and Belgium.

    According to the National Drug Regulatory Authority, hospitals will be allowed to use this antibody mixture for patients suffering from dangerous diseases in the future.
