The Electricity Board has proposed to reduce the electricity bill from the 1st of next month.
The Public Utilities Commission says that it will take a decision next Friday (30) regarding the proposal presented by the Electricity Board to reduce the electricity bill.
A senior official said that the public consultation regarding the relevant proposal was carried out yesterday (27).
There, the people expressed their views regarding the proposal to reduce the electricity bill.
Accordingly, the Electricity Board has planned to reduce the electricity tariff in domestic and religious places up to 30 units by 23% and the electricity tariff in hotels and factories by 29%-40%.
