Officials of the Inland Revenue Department will report sick leave tomorrow (17) and engage in a trade union action by not coming to work.
The Joint Secretary of the Inland Revenue Services Association Mr. H. A. L. Udayasiri said that the officials of the Colombo head office of the Inland Revenue Department and all the district offices across the country will join this action.
He also said that the union will take action protesting against the Minister of State for Finance not giving an opportunity to discuss the shortcomings of the Inland Revenue Department and the career problems of the officials.
