A special investigation has been started regarding an OIC of a police station not far from Colombo, who was abducting businessmen.
It is also said that this officer will take his private car to the petrol station and fill it with fuel worth six to seven thousand rupees for free. Apart from that, this OIC also brings food parcels from tourist hotels and brings bottles of foreign liquor from bars on a daily basis, according to police information.
Apart from that, the police information stated that this officer was taking lakhs of rupees of money from businessmen by force as an underworld criminal.
An investigation has been started in this regard based on several complaints made by many businessmen to a senior police officer.
Based on this investigation, the OIC will be transferred and suspended, according to police information.
I dont know why the police is so currupt, its not only here but all over the entire country, all the young people whi join the police and put in the uniform think they can rule the law in their own, they stop people and try yo bully using their authority when in uniform. They dont ever reflect a friendly force for protecting the public. That is why they are such a hated lot. And to top it all the OIC’s dont lead their teams with good examples, but send them out to do their dirty bribing business, thus its passed on to all new recruits, making money is their game. So the young join the copa to follow suite and earn the easy bucks. Its a real shame. This is Sri Lanka the currupt nation as we are known for. Sad but true.
