Electricity and Energy Minister Mr. Kanchana Wijesekera says that no new recruitment will be made to the Ceylon Electricity Board.
He points out that more than 1,100 employees are scheduled to retire in 2023.
Meanwhile, the minister also said that the total salaries and allowances of the Ceylon Electricity Board for September, October, and November are in the range of Rs. 3.5 billion to Rs. 3.7 billion per month.
