The Sri Lanka People’s Front (SLPP) has stated that the decision to increase fuel prices was taken by the Minister of Energy Udaya Gammanpila and that he should take responsibility for the decision and resign.
The party said in a statement that the minister in charge of the subject had deliberately decided to displease the Sri Lanka People’s Front (SLPP) and its leaders, just as it had made the people uncomfortable by raising fuel prices at a time when the lives of the people in the country were being disrupted and the people were suffering economically due to the Covid crisis.
