    National Paper Corporation to provide papers to print lottery

    The National Lottery Board has signed an agreement with National Paper Corporation to purchase the paper required by the National Lottery Board for lottery printing.

    The Government Printing Corporation entered into this agreement with the National Paper Corporation at the Ministry of Industries yesterday (01).

    Minister of Plantation and Industries Dr. Ramesh Pathirana was also present on this occasion.

    The Government Printing Corporation is celebrating its 54th anniversary on 04 September 2022.

    According to this agreement, the Government Printing Corporation will be able to print and distribute the lottery tickets of the National Lottery Board (NLB) without any hindrance.

    Chairman of the Government Printing Corporation, Chartered Accountant Mr. J.M.U.B. Jayasekara and President of National Paper Corporation Mr. Wimal Rupasinghe signed the agreement.

    On September 4, 1968, President J.R. Jayawardana, who was a Minister of State at that time founded the Government Printing Corporation. It contributes to the Ministry of Education by printing textbooks for 42 million school children in Sri Lanka.

    Apart from that, it also prints lottery tickets for the National Lottery Board.

    The Government Printing Corporation also prints and provides exercise books for school children under the name of SPC.

    The new agreement will allow to continuously provide the required lotteries from time to time for lottery sellers scattered all over the island.
