The government has decided to hold schools from next Monday (15) all the government and government approved schools during normal hours i.e. from 7.30 am to 1.30 pm on all five days of the week.

The Minister of Education, the Secretary of Education and the officials of the Ministry met at the Ministry of Education today (13) and discussed with the Provincial Education Secretaries.

There are some other decisions taken by the government in that discussion.

Instructions were given to all the provincial authorities to prepare a suitable transport program for principals, teachers and students in areas with transport difficulties.
