Dinesh Gunawardena, Minister of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government said today (27) that there is no prospect of postponing the local government elections.
The Minister further stated that this is a very important subject for the local government sector and national politics.
Therefore, the Minister further stated that he will take steps to hold the local government elections as scheduled without delay.
