Security has been tightened in and around Parliament since this morning.
Special police teams from outside Colombo were also called in for the security operation.
More than 1000 people have been summoned. In addition, military support has been mobilized for this security operation. According to police sources, more than 5,000 security personnel have been deployed to protect the parliament and surrounding areas.
