Sagara Kariyawasam, Attorney-at-Law, General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) says that the party will support the new government headed by the new Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe while protecting the independence of the party to resolve the economic crisis in the country.
Sagara Kariyawasam says that the decision to hold the cabinet ministerial posts will be taken according to the decision of the President.
He said that finding a solution to the current major economic crisis in the country should be given priority than political issues.
