According to party sources, the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) is considering removing the party membership of Shantha Bandara, who was sworn in as the State Minister of Agriculture.
The sources say that the proposal will be discussed at the forthcoming Central Committee meeting.
Mr. Shantha Bandara was recently sworn in as the State Minister of Agriculture before the President, despite the SLFP’s decision to leave the government and function independently in Parliament.
As a result, Shantha Bandara was recently removed from all positions held by the party.
