An executive officer and his seven-year-old son have died after falling into a water tank at a footwear factory in Bataduwa, Galle.
The accident took place when the factory was inspected, police said.
A seven-year-old boy has fallen while walking on a water tank, and investigations have revealed that the father who tried to rescue the child has died.
The deceased have been identified as father and son residing at Hawpagewatta, Thalgampola, Akmeemana.
